An interesting history library

The New-York Historical Society's Patricia D. Klingenstein Library is one of the oldest and most outstanding research libraries in the United States, and is an important research center for the history of New York and the United States. It houses an extensive collection of millions of books, newspapers, maps, manuscripts and archival collections, prints, photographs, and architectural collections from the 16th century to the present.
Currently, the New-York Historical Society is temporarily closed from September 2023 in preparation for the start of construction of a new building, and is scheduled to reopen in early 2024.
