To an interesting historical library
The New York Historical Society's Patricia D. Klingenstein Library is one of the oldest and finest research libraries in the United States and an important research center for the history of New York and the United States. It houses an extensive collection of millions of books, newspapers, maps, manuscripts and archival collections, prints, photographs and architectural collections dating from the 16th century to the present.
It is currently temporarily closed starting in September 2023 as the New York Historical Society prepares to begin construction of a new building, and is scheduled to reopen in early 2024.
