A Treasure Trove of Art and History:
The Querini Stampalia Museum
The Stampalia Museum, offering a glimpse into the lives of wealthy Venetians in the 18th and 19th centuries, operates within the Querini family's 15th-century palace. It was established when 18th-century aristocrat Andrea Querini Stampalia donated his artworks and library. Later, his descendant Count Giovanni created the foundation, which is now open to the public. It's easily overlooked, but a must-visit for those interested in architecture.

The Stampalia Family Museum:
Shaping Venice
Once the residence of the Stampalia family, who played a key role in building Venice, it was transformed into a foundation in 1869 by the last descendant, Count Giovanni, and is now open to visitors. The building, nearly damaged by Venice's humid climate and floods, was restored by Carlo Scarpa.
If you're visiting Venice, it's easily overlooked, but a must-visit for those interested in architecture.
