If you're traveling to Lindos, Greece, don't miss the Lindos Acropolis! As the only historical site on Lindos Island, it was built to honor the ancient Greek Acropolis and the goddess Athena. Unlike other historical sites in Greece, it's special because it was built while preserving the ancient ruins in their original form. It is also famous as a place where you can admire the beautiful natural scenery. 

Key Highlights

Temple of Athena Lindia:
Located in the center of the Lindos Acropolis, this temple was built around 300 BC and dedicated to the goddess Athena. Although only the columns and some walls remain, you can still get a glimpse of its grandeur.

Castle of the Knights of Saint John:
A fortress built in the 14th century by the Knights of Saint John, it served to defend the Lindos Acropolis. The walls, towers, and interior buildings are well preserved, and it is a great place to enjoy the beautiful views.

Ancient Theatre:
Located on the northern slope of the Lindos Acropolis, the ancient theater was built in the Hellenistic period and could accommodate approximately 1,800 people.

Byzantine Church:
Within the Acropolis, there are remains of a small church built in the Byzantine era.
