Located in the luxury hotel Sunroute Nara, 'Japanese Cuisine Obana' is a traditional and creative kaiseki restaurant. The essence of the Kansai-style kaiseki cuisine served here lies in the selection of ingredients, and whether the ingredients are seasonal and fresh often determines the taste of the dish. That's why the dishes served almost every day are different.


Kaiseki, a delicate chef's creation

Without the delicate skills of the chef, it is difficult to present dishes that are pleasing to the eye. The chef working at 'Japanese Cuisine Obana' has worked for many years at a Kyoto Gion restaurant, which is a collection of kaiseki restaurants that adhere to long-standing traditions, so he has a wealth of cooking experience and delicate skills, and he does his best to surprise and impress his guests.


Guide to selectable menus

1. Japanese Classic Course
The Japanese classic course includes 'appetizer, soup, sashimi, assorted seafood, grilled dish, simmered dish, rice, and dessert.'
Please note that reservations are available from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

2. Japanese Premium Course
The Japanese Premium Course offers a more upgraded version of 'appetizer, soup, sashimi, assorted seafood, grilled dish, simmered dish, rice, and dessert.'
Please note that reservations are available from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

3. Japanese deluxe course
The Japanese Deluxe Course offers a slightly more upgraded version of the Premium Course, including appetizers, soup, sashimi, assorted seafood, grilled dishes, simmered dishes, rice, and dessert.
Please note that reservations are available from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

4. Children's Meals
Children's meals include hamburger steak, grilled shrimp, steamed eggs, salad, and a dessert platter.

The reason why I can't give you a detailed menu is because, as I explained above, kaiseki is a cuisine that presents seasonal dishes. Therefore, the menu offered varies every day depending on the season. The best chef will decide the menu to cook based on the ingredients of the day to give you the best enjoyment, so please visit with anticipation! Restaurant Manners

At 'Japanese Cuisine Obana', minors over 12 years old must order the adult course, and everyone in the group must reserve the same course. Also, shorts, slippers, ripped jeans, T-shirts, etc. are strictly prohibited. Please note in advance that you must wear clothing appropriate for the dining and restaurant environment to enter!
