JR Kansai Sanin Pass

The JR Kansai Sanin Pass is an invincible transportation pass for West Japan with unlimited travel on JR lines' Sanyo Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka - Okayama), limited express trains, local trains (including rapid and new rapid), Chizu Express, Kyoto Tango Railway, and West JR buses within the area. This is a transportation pass that you can use.

Introduction to available sections

If you have the JR Kansai Sanin Pass, you can move freely within the area shown on the map above.

Available trains:

- Sanyo Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka⇔Okayama) reserved seats
'Hello Kitty Shinkansen' is available.
- Reserved seats on limited express trains (HARUKA, YAKUMO, KONOTORI, SUPER HAKUTO, etc.)
* If you are using a reserved seat, be sure to make a reservation in advance.
* Some trains have reserved seats on all cars and no unreserved seats. Please check the official website for trains with reserved seats on all cars, and be sure to reserve a reserved seat before boarding.
- Jizz Express
- Kyoto Tango Railway
- New rapid trains, rapid trains, and local trains on JR West existing lines
- West Japan JR buses are only valid for local buses within the area. You cannot ride the express bus.

Trains not available:

- Tokaido Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka⇔Tokyo)
- Sanyo Shinkansen (Okayama⇔Hakata)
- Kyushu Shinkansen (Hakata⇔Kagoshima-Chuo)
- Paid seat service (A seat, etc.) on rapid and new rapid trains in the Kansai area

Instructions on how to exchange

JR West Japan Pass exchange can be easily done at a ticket vending machine with a passport symbol. Korean is also supported, so you don’t have to worry even if you don’t know Japanese.

Order of using the automatic ticket machine:
1. Select language
2. Select to receive reserved tickets
3. Select Exchange order (E-TICKET)
4. Scan mobile voucher (QR code)
5. Enter the usage start date * Changes cannot be made after ticket issuance.
6. Check terms of use and instructions
7. Passport scan * If IC chip recognition does not proceed well, please go to Midori no Madoguchi (counter).
8. Pick up your ticket

1. Kyoto:
