Depart from central Kumamoto and take a direct bus to Takachiho to freely visit the places you want. Since the guide only helps with guiding the vehicle, there is no set course, so you only need to meet at the meeting time, and you can adjust the schedule to suit your pace.

Must-see course, Takachiho Gorge

Takachiho Gorge is a place made up of columnar joints that were formed a long time ago when lava rapidly cooled.

There is a small wooden observation deck at the top of the rock, offering perfect views of the cascading waterfall and boats circling beneath the 17-meter-high Manai Falls.

Of course, you can row yourself! Check the boat's operating status here and enjoy the leisurely pace of the canyon.

Takachiho Shrine

The Takachiho area is known as the birthplace of Japanese mythology, similar to the Dangun myth in Korea. Among them, Takachiho Shrine is the largest shrine in terms of size and history, built approximately 1,900 years ago.

It is said that if you hold hands with your family or lover and walk three times around two giant pine trees with their roots intertwined, your descendants will enjoy great wealth and prosperity!

Also, unlike other shrines in Japan, it is said to blend perfectly with the surrounding natural landscape thanks to its earthy color rather than bright red, so be sure to visit.

Takachiho's famous beef restaurant, Chihonoi-e

You can enjoy a set meal with nature at 'Chiho-no-ie' located in the valley. Takachiho-gyu is a local specialty, so enjoy a refined Korean meal that preserves its original flavor without waiting!

- After lunch at “Chiho’s House,” free time at Takachiho Gorge (stay for about 3 hours and 30 minutes)

* After free time, please return directly to the bus center in time for the return bus.
