Nara Ikimono Museum
Immerse yourself in the mysterious world of reptiles at the Nara Ikimono Museum! This is a place where you can touch, feel, and experience about 100 species of creatures at the same eye level, and it has a different charm from other museums where you can only look at them with your eyes. Create special memories by seeing various creatures including turtles, snakes, iguanas, chameleons, raccoons, scorpions, and piranhas.
Museum viewing area guide
1. Young and old (のそのそ)
This is a place where you can meet slowly moving creatures. You can see turtles, chameleons, and colorful chameleons in detail. There is also a photo spot where you can take special commemorative photos with giant snakes and dinosaur objects, so take a picture and leave it!
2. Shitoshito (shitoshito)
It's a space that feels like you're in a jungle. In the "Exotic Gallery," where magnificent exhibits are attractive, you can get eye-level with beautiful creatures.
3. Purupuru (ぷるぷる)
Here you can meet small and cute creatures such as frogs, snakes, and garden eels.
4. Karakara (からから)
This is a place where you can meet creatures from dry areas, and you can see exhibits such as leopard geckos that live in harsh environments such as deserts. There is also an interesting exhibit where you can compare the dinosaurs, the ancestors of reptiles, with their current appearance, so don't miss it!
5. Kowakowa (Kowakowa)
This is a place where some scary creatures, including tarantulas, gather.
