Dubrovnik to Montenegro Cruise: Perast Island & Bay of Kotor

The tour itself was enjoyable, with beautiful scenery and places worth seeing, but unfortunately, the guide, Mate, negatively affected our experience. Throughout the trip, he repeatedly spoke badly about Montenegro while praising Bosnia, even though we were travelling to Kotor, Montenegro. At the border, when we were told that only one lane was open and that we might have to wait for hours, instead of keeping everyone calm, he created even more stress. Saying things like “we are prisoners,” “there are no toilets,” and “you will get thirsty and we have no water” only increased the panic. I even saw people struggling to cope with the situation. This was not professional at all. The time in Perast was also far too short (around 25–30 minutes), and the boat was too small for the group, making the ride crowded and uncomfortable. Beautiful destinations, but the guide and organization could be much better.

La guía Andrea espectacular. Explico todo con mucho detalle muy amable y pendiente de todo en todo momento. El conductor también genial. El personal un 10. Kotor Perast y la señora de la roca son bonitos. Lo que más me gustó fue Kotor y las vistas desde el barco. Pero sí que es verdad que se hace un poco largo el camino de ida y vuelta por el cruce de la frontera. (Algo que obviamente no pueden controlar ni guías ni conductores) Tardamos hora y media para ir y dos horas para la vuelta. Por lo que el trayecto se hace un poco pesado. Aún así tanto guía como conductor amables y pendiente de todo en todo momento, pero tuvimos 3h en Kotor, un paseo en barco de media hora, una visita a la señora de la roca de 20 minutos, y 30 min en persiste. Salimos a las 6:30h y volvimos a las 20:30h. Se hace demasiada largo por el tema de la frontera. Aún así quitando eso, valoro positivamente lo demás y los paisajes son preciosos. Andrea lo hizo todo muy fácil y muy bien.

Gostamos muito. Um dia diferente e que nos permitiu conhecer outro país. A guia foi sempre super divertida e disponível para ajudar. Tudo correu da melhor forma. Recomendamos!

Matt was a great guide! Interesting, funny and knowledgeable. Perast and Kotor were both amazing. Would have liked more time in Kotor - we felt a little rushed. We were unlucky that it was too windy to sail so we had to go the whole way by bus, but couldn't be helped.
