Inspired by Arendelle from Frozen
Akershus Fortress
Akershus Fortress is a medieval fortress located on a hill overlooking the Oslo harbor. It was built in 1299 by King Haakon V to defend the city and has historically been used as an important military stronghold. It is the inspiration for Arendelle Castle in Frozen. That alone is reason enough to visit. Stroll through the fortress and recall scenes from Frozen. With a guided tour, you can remember even more vivid history and scenes. Christiania Torv is one of the oldest squares in Oslo. It was built in the 17th century during the reign of Christian IV, and the square is surrounded by old buildings, restaurants, and cafes, making it a great place to relax and enjoy.
