The Hakone Ropeway is an aerial gondola route connecting four stations representing Hakone: Sounzan, Owakudani, Ubako, and Togendai. After arriving at Sounzan by cable car that climbs along the mountainside, the moment of soaring into the sky on the ropeway awaits you.
The most popular section is the line that crosses Owakudani, where sulfuric smoke rises. You can use the Hakone Ropeway with a single ticket, but your route will be much smoother with a pass that allows you to use the Hakone Tozan Line, buses, cable cars, and pirate ships together.
