Highlights
Leave behind the elegant streets of Bordeaux, a city where the pride of French wine flows gracefully. As you cast your gaze out the window, endless vineyards and the warm scent of the earth will deeply permeate your heart. The '[Bordeaux Tour] Bordeaux Departure: Saint-Émilion & Margaux Winery Day Tour' is a special day trip that traverses Saint-Émilion, a representative wine region on the right bank, and Margaux in the Médoc on the left bank, allowing you to fully savor the complete leisure that wine and gastronomy offer.
Program
Winery Tour to Saint-Émilion and Margaux
After a warm greeting with your guide in Bordeaux city center and boarding the van, you'll first head to Saint-Émilion, a village entirely designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through the cobblestone alleys of this medieval town, steeped in centuries of history, and discover the secret stories hidden behind its historical monuments. Upon arriving at the first chateau winery, a picnic lunch, carefully prepared in a cozy garden, will await you. We recommend sharing stories over a glass of chateau wine paired with specialties prepared with fresh local ingredients by a traditional Bordeaux catering company.
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive along the left bank of Bordeaux as you journey to the Médoc region, the cradle of world-renowned wines. At a charming family-run winery in the Margaux appellation, sample wines made with traditional methods and capture unforgettable photos with the legendary Château Margaux as your backdrop. Finally, complete your day by visiting a historic chateau classified under the 1855 classification system by Napoleon III, and learn about the delicate winemaking techniques that embody the philosophy of its artisans. Immerse yourself in the profound aromas crafted by nature and craftsmanship, and treasure these precious moments with your loved ones.
