Encounter the Floating Temple of Jiangnan on the Cliffside

The main attraction of Daciyan is its temple complex, built along the cliff face. With parts of the structure integrated into the rock and others extending outwards, it's nicknamed the 'Floating Temple of Jiangnan' (江南悬空寺). Stroll along the paths that hug the cliff, taking in the temple architecture and the surrounding mountain scenery. From these heights, you'll also enjoy breathtaking views of Jiande's mountains and valleys.

Marvel at the Spectacle of a Mountain as Buddha

Another highlight of Daciyan is the 'Natural Standing Buddha' (天然立佛). When viewed from a specific angle, the main peak of Daciyan resembles a Jizo Bodhisattva in a standing posture, embodying the saying, The mountain is Buddha, and Buddha is the mountain. Admire this unique natural formation where rocks, caves, and trees harmoniously create the shape of a colossal Buddha. Ascend further to discover more Buddhist sites, including a golden double-faced Buddha.

Explore Daciyan Along Valleys and Cliffs

Beyond the temples and Buddha statues, Daciyan also features a valley and stream that flows down from the mountain's summit. Follow the mountain trails and cliffside walkways to immerse yourself in the natural beauty where water and forests meet. If you're looking to conserve energy, consider using the cable car available on-site.
