Ride the Escalator to Tianyu Mountain Comfortably

Enter the Qiandao Lake Tianyu Mountain Scenic Area and take the viewing escalator up the mountain. With three long escalator sections, you can reach close to the observatory without a long, steep hike.

After disembarking the escalator, follow the walking path to the observatory. This route is perfect for families with children or parents, offering an easy way to enjoy Qiandao Lake.

Enjoy a Bird's-Eye View of Qiandao Lake from the Observatory

Arrive at the Tianyu Mountain Observatory, approximately 335 meters above sea level, and be greeted by the expansive lake and numerous islands of Qiandao Lake. Admire the Qiandao Lake Bridge, surrounding mountains, and the Qiandao Lake village from various vantage points.

Several viewing platforms are available at the summit, allowing you to stroll leisurely and capture photos from your preferred angles.

Witness the Beautiful Sunset Over Qiandao Lake

If your timing allows, visit during the late afternoon. Tianyu Mountain's unobstructed western view makes it a prime location for sunset viewing over Qiandao Lake. Capture a special moment as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the lake and islands in hues of red.
