Embark on a whale watching adventure aboard a hybrid electric boat

Set sail from Tromsø on our hybrid electric catamaran to seek out Arctic whales. During the whale watching season, we journey to areas where various whales, including orcas and humpback whales, gather to feed. The Brim Explorer's 2026 whale watching tours are scheduled to commence on October 16th.

Cruise through Arctic fjords for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, taking in the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and winter landscapes. Throughout the journey, our guides will share fascinating stories about Tromsø, Arctic nature, the surrounding fjords, and the whales.

Observe whales with quiet electric engines

Upon spotting whales, we switch to our quieter electric engines to reduce noise and vibration, minimizing disturbance to the marine life. Our operation adheres to whale watching principles that maintain a safe distance and reduce stress and interference.

We typically spend about 1 to 1.5 hours in areas where whales are active, searching for Arctic marine life such as orcas and humpback whales.

The ship features a heated lounge with large panoramic windows, allowing you to comfortably admire the Arctic scenery even on cold days.

Multiple outdoor decks offer unobstructed views of the fjords and whales, and complimentary Wi-Fi and tap water are available. Food and beverages can be purchased separately on board.
