Hunt for the Aurora with Local Experts

Venture beyond the city lights of Tromsø and begin your aurora hunt with the professional guides from The Green Adventure. Before departure, your guide will check the day's weather conditions and the likelihood of observing the aurora, then head to a location where the best conditions are expected.

Instead of visiting a fixed viewing spot, your destination will change daily based on the weather and cloud movements. This tour is conducted in small groups of up to 15 people and typically lasts about 6 to 9 hours.

Drive Through the Arctic Night in Search of Clear Skies

We'll explore various areas around Tromsø to find clear skies suitable for aurora viewing. Depending on the situation, we might travel long distances or head towards Finland.

Upon arrival at the viewing spot, put on the provided thermal suit and wait for the aurora. If you've brought your personal camera, the guide can assist with camera settings, and tripods are available for use. However, winter boots are not provided, so please bring your own warm footwear.

Warm Up by the Campfire with Hot Soup

Once we find a suitable spot under clear skies, we'll set up camp and enjoy the Arctic night. Sit around the campfire, savor warm soup and hot chocolate or tea prepared by Tromsø, and roast marshmallows. Vegan soup is available upon request.

Capture Unforgettable Photos with the Aurora

When the aurora appears, your guide will use professional equipment to photograph you against the backdrop of the Northern Lights. We don't limit the number of shots; we aim to capture various moments while the aurora is visible.

You'll receive the photos via email after the tour. The standard photos provided are 2048px resolution with a watermark. High-resolution, watermark-free photos suitable for printing can be purchased for an additional fee.
