This 2-hour private surf lesson at Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach, north of San Diego, is taught one-on-one by a dedicated instructor. Learn to surf one-on-one
with a dedicated instructor at Fletcher Cove
This 2-hour private surf lesson takes place at Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach. A dedicated instructor guides you through every step, whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate surfer looking to improve. All instructors are CPR-certified local surfers, and lessons are taught in English.
Gear up with premium equipment and head out
A premium soft-top surfboard, full wetsuit and leash are provided, so you do not need to bring your own gear. All equipment is sanitized and ready for your session. The lesson spot is right across from the surf break.
Practice everything from reading waves to the pop-up
Practice in the ocean, from ocean safety and reading waves to paddling, pop-up timing, balance, turning and choosing waves. You also learn surf etiquette that respects other surfers and the ocean, and how to wipe out safely.
Relax on the beach after your lesson
After the lesson, you can relax on the beach at Solana Beach and enjoy the coastal views.

From the I-5 freeway, take the Lomas Santa Fe exit and head west until you reach the beach. Turn right on Sierra Avenue, then take the next right into the gravel parking lot. This is the back entrance of the shops, where you can find parking. Look for the bamboo beach hut. Free parking is available in the back lot off Sierra Avenue.
