Murphy Dome is not a dome-shaped building but a mountain summit, one of the highest peaks in the area. Far from the city lights, it lets you view the sky against a 360-degree horizon.
Wait for the aurora in a warm van
As this is a remote viewing site with no buildings or restrooms, aurora viewing takes place inside a heated 10–15 passenger van. Sip hot drinks while you wait for the aurora, and you will be dropped off at your hotel after the tour.
