Beyond paintings, the Barnes Foundation holds African art, Native American ceramics, ancient Greek antiquities, Pennsylvania German furniture, and decorative ironwork. Curated by Albert C. Barnes himself from 1912 to 1951, the collection brings together works from different cultures and periods in one space.
Enjoy First Fridays and on-site dining
On the first Friday evening of every month, the First Friday event features special guests, art, live music, cocktails, and snacks. During your visit, you can also dine or shop on site at the Garden Restaurant and Reflections Café.
