From Perth: Pinnacles Sunset BBQ & Sandboarding Tour - Hotel Pickup

After hotel pickup,
go sandboarding on the Lancelin dunes

After pickup from a designated hotel in Perth CBD, drive about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the coastal town of Lancelin. Lancelin has white sand dunes stretching over 2 km, with the highest reaching 30–40 m.

After a short break with refreshments, head to the dunes for sandboarding. Slide down the dunes with turquoise sea and wide horizons in the background. Instead of sandboarding, you can also relax at a beachside pub.

Follow the Indian Ocean coast
to the Pinnacles Desert

After sandboarding, travel along the Indian Ocean coastline, walk on the beach and feel the sea breeze. Then board the bus again and head north deep into the Pinnacles Desert, where limestone pillars rise from the sand. You may also have the chance to see emus and kangaroos in their natural habitat along the way.

over a barbecue dinner

Before nightfall, watch the sunset with a glass of Australian wine and enjoy a freshly cooked traditional Australian barbecue dinner. See the sky turn orange, pink and yellow over the desert landscape.

Explore the night sky with telescopes
and astronomy binoculars

When it gets dark, enjoy tea, coffee or hot chocolate and learn tips for taking night-sky photos with your smartphone. Look at planets, star clusters, nebulae and the moon through the telescope and astronomy binoculars of a mobile observatory, and take star photos with the Pinnacles in the background. Afterwards, return by bus to your hotel in Perth.
