and head to the day's launch site
About an hour before sunrise, meet your pilot and crew in Northam, the main town of the Avon Valley. Hop into the vehicle and travel about 30 minutes to the launch site chosen for the day. As balloons fly with the wind, several launch sites are spread around the valley so the best possible flight can be made in the day's conditions.
Fly over the Avon Valley as the sun rises
Inflation and preparation take about 30 minutes, and you are welcome to lend a hand. Once the balloon is ready, climb aboard and float with the wind for about an hour. As the sun rises over the horizon, enjoy panoramic views of the awakening countryside and valley.
Balloon flights are gentle and peaceful. After the flight, your pilot, who has thousands of hours of experience, chooses a suitable landing site.
Return to Northam for a buffet breakfast
After landing, you can help pack up the giant balloon if you wish. Then return to Northam by vehicle and finish the experience with a buffet breakfast.
