This is a small-group tour of up to 8 people departing from Strasbourg to cross the border and explore the German Black Forest region in one day. Walk along the Lichtentaler Allee with your guide in Baden-Baden, a destination frequented by royalty and celebrities for centuries, to admire the magnificent architecture and mansions. Pass by scenic viewpoints along the Black Forest High Road, enjoy free time at Lake Mummelsee situated at 1,036 meters above sea level, and even visit Sasbachwalden, a flower-adorned village on the Baden Wine Route.

Meet your English-speaking guide in front of the Strasbourg Tourist Office and depart by minivan. As you cross the border into the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany, your guide will introduce you to the Black Forest, a forested mountain range bordering the Rhine Valley. The name "Black Forest" originates from the dark color of the pine trees that grow abundantly in this region, which is also the birthplace of Black Forest cake and cuckoo clocks.

After a drive of about 1 hour, arrive in Baden-Baden and explore the town with your guide for about 2 hours. Having attracted royalty, the wealthy, and celebrities for centuries, you can admire the glamorous architecture and grand mansions lined up along Lichtentaler Allee.

Travel along the Schwarzwaldhochstraße (Black Forest High Road), stopping at viewpoints to gaze upon the Upper Rhine Valley and the Vosges Mountains of France in the distance. At Lake Mummelsee, enjoy about 2 hours of free time to explore and have lunch. Situated at 1,036 meters above sea level with a circumference of 800 meters and a depth of 17 meters, it is a great spot to try local delicacies like Black Forest cake. Please note that lunch expenses are not included.

After lunch, travel along the Baden Wine Route (Badische Weinstraße), which stretches over 500 km. In Sasbachwalden, nestled among vineyards, take about 20 minutes to take photos of the half-timbered houses decorated with flowers. This village is famously known for winning the national floral village competition. Afterward, take a 1-hour drive back to Strasbourg.
