We found the Herberton Historical Village very enjoyable. It was beautifully displayed & you almost felt that you could have been in the same era. The demonstrations where amazing & were open to questions no problems. The attention to detail is phenomenal & you can feel the love that has been given in order to give to all the Customers/Tourists the experience that would be expected so when you leave you have a fabulous memory. We would not hesitate to recommend this Village to anyone & sorry that we could not spend more time checking this Historical Village out.

Very informative so much history across a wide range of topics in the one place. Make sure you give yourself ample time to see everything. Plus we were fortunate enough to visit on a day there were local live acts performing ‘Tin Pannikin Project’ Some great talent made for a lovely afternoon.

Each building showcases unique Australian collectables, old machinery, vehicles, and antiques that reveal the history of mining, timber, and farming in Australia. We recommend spending at least 3 hours in the village.

Watch live working demonstrations of the blacksmith and sawmill

See interactive demonstrations in working workshops, including the blacksmith, woodworking, John Deere tractors, the print shop, small engines, the sawmill, and antique cars. Eight live working demonstrations are on offer, including billy tea making.

Discover Eldersley House and the Bakerville Hotel

Explore Eldersley House, a grand 130-year-old pioneer homestead, the John Deere tractor shed, the coach house, the pharmacy, and the toy shop, and take a break at the Bakerville Hotel, now a traditional tearoom. You can also enjoy a nature walk, and on Sundays there is a chance to ride the Atherton-Herberton Historic Railway heritage train.
