After being picked up from your hotel or accommodation in Nice, travel along the French Riviera coast in an air-conditioned van. This is a small group tour with a maximum of 8 participants, offering guided explanations in each town followed by free time. Once the tour is over, return to Nice for drop-off near your accommodation.
Start your day at the Antibes Fortress and Old Town
Your first stop is the coastal town of Antibes. Your guide will explain the history of the Antibes Fortress, which began construction in 1565 during the reign of Charles IX to defend against maritime attacks, while you enjoy panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. After exploring the Provençal market and medieval ramparts, enjoy approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time to stroll around. Chateau Grimaldi, where Picasso lived and worked in the 1920s, now houses the Picasso Museum (admission fee not included, unguided).
Walk the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival and enjoy lunch
Next, stop in Cannes, famous for its international film festival, for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Walk along the red carpet in front of the Palais des Festivals (the interior of the building is not open to the public) and have lunch at a restaurant of your choice during your free time. After your meal, wander through the narrow streets and markets of Le Suquet, the old town of Cannes, and optionally climb up to the Church of Notre-Dame d'Esperance for views over the Bay of Cannes.
End your day in the hilltop village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence
Finally, spend about an hour in the fortified village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, beloved by artists like Chagall and Picasso. Stroll along the cobbled alleyways, stone walls, and local galleries while soaking in the relaxed late-afternoon atmosphere.
