and depart for Grasse, the city of perfume
Depending on the option booked, you will be picked up from your hotel or designated address in Nice, Cannes, or Villefranche-sur-Mer, and travel to Grasse by minivan for about 75 minutes. Grasse is a city with a long history of leather production and has established itself as the center of the perfume industry over several centuries. Learn about the perfume manufacturing process during a 45-minute guided tour of the Fragonard Perfume Factory, followed by 45 minutes of free time to explore the old town.
Enjoy the views from Gourdon, known as the Eagle's Nest
After a 30-minute drive from Grasse, you will arrive in Gourdon, perched on a rocky hill at 760 meters above sea level. Enjoy about 1.5 hours of free time to stroll through the narrow streets lined with restored historic houses and craft shops, and take in the panoramic views of the Côte d'Azur. The Château de Gourdon, originally built in the 13th century and later restored, is set within gardens designed by Le Nôtre and displays ancient weapons, 17th-century furniture, and Aubusson tapestries.
Stroll through Tourrettes-sur-Loup and taste wine at a winery
In Tourrettes-sur-Loup, a medieval village on a rocky hill, spend about 45 minutes freely wandering the narrow stone streets lined with workshops, galleries, and cafes. On the way back, stop at a winery located in the Bellet vineyards above Nice for about an hour to taste local red, rosé, and white wines while overlooking the sea and the vineyards. After the wine tasting, return to the city of your booked option (Villefranche-sur-Mer, Nice, or Cannes).
