Auckland City Highlights Drive Tour - Hotel Pickup

Depart from your hotel
and drive through the city and over the Harbour Bridge

After pickup from your hotel in central Auckland (CBD), the tour begins with your professional driver-guide. Drive through the city centre, where modern high-rises meet historic architecture, pass the Sky Tower and hear about Auckland's skyline.

Next, cross the Harbour Bridge for sweeping views over the Waitematā Harbour, then stop briefly at Westhaven Marina to see the yachts lining the waterfront.

Cruise along the coastal Tamaki Drive

Stroll through the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park overlooking the Hauraki Gulf and Rangitoto Island, and learn about New Zealand's first Labour Prime Minister. Drive along Tamaki Drive, known for its coastal scenery and beaches, stop for about 15 minutes at Achilles Point for panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf, and pass through café-lined Mission Bay.

See the museum and Wintergardens in the Auckland Domain

Take a short break to admire the neoclassical exterior of the Auckland Museum in the Auckland Domain. You can also stroll through the Wintergardens, glasshouses filled with exotic plants and colourful flowers.

Take in 360-degree views from the summit of Mount Eden

Head to the summit of Mount Eden, a dormant volcano, and enjoy 360-degree views of Auckland for about 30 minutes. Guests who prefer not to walk up can relax with coffee or snacks at a nearby café, where restrooms are available. Drive through charming suburbs before the tour ends at your hotel or a central meeting point.
