Walk slowly along native forest trails after dark

As the sun sets, enter a forest where the birds fall silent and insects begin to hum. Walking slowly along easy, well-maintained trails, your eyes adjust to the darkness and tiny blue lights appear, scattered along stream banks and hanging from damp fern walls.
Hear stories about glowworms and the forest from your guide

This is a calm, small-group walk rather than a cave tour or crowded attraction. Your guide talks about the forest, the ecosystem that allows glowworms to thrive, how glowworms live, feed and glow, and their role in New Zealand's ecosystem. Depending on the night, you may hear the gentle sound of a nearby stream or native birds settling in for the evening.
Finish the walk and return to the city

After the walk, return by vehicle to the departure point in central Auckland. If you are staying in the city center, you can be dropped off at your accommodation on request.
※ Glowworms live in the wild, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
