Was a great couple of hikes around Muskoka. Could have spent longer in each place to admire the views and explore more of the trails. If anything it would be good to mention in the description that we are required to take lunch with us or we can pick something up on the washroom stop on the way. As I double checked this requirement the day before.

Eine super Tour zu wunderschönen Orten. Die Wanderung am Hardy Lake war mein persönliches Highlight. Ich hätte dort Stunden verbringen können und die Ruhe, den Frieden und die Natur genießen können. Auch der zweite Stopp war richtig schön. Ein Aussichtspunkt für den sich der etwas steile Aufstieg definitiv gelohnt hat. Der letzte Stopp war dann ein Wasserfall, der leider etwas überlaufen war. Dadurch konnte ich die Zeit nicht ganz so sehr genießen. Das Abendessen bei einem kleinen Burgerladen auf dem Rückweg war ein guter Abschluss für den Tag. Eine wunderschöne Tour, die ich jederzeit wiederholen würde. Einzige kleine Hacken wären evtl. das Tempo während der Wanderungen und die Zeiteinteilung bei den Stopps. Mit ein bisschen langsamerem Tempo könnte man die Natur noch mehr genießen und ich persönlich hätte mir statt am Wasserfall mehr Zeit am See gewünscht. Die Zeiteinteilung ist aber nachvollziehbar, damit der Guide vor der Rückfahrt eine Pause machen kann.

Der Tag war soweit sehr gut. Die Wanderungen sind nicht anstrengent sollten jedoch dennoch nicht unterschätzt werden. Zum Dinner hält man wohl am besten Burger Place ever 😅.

Depart Toronto and hike
three of Muskoka's top spots

Depart at 8:45 AM by minivan from outside the Tim Hortons at Christie subway station in Toronto. On this small-group tour of up to 6 people, your English-speaking guide takes you to Hardy Lake, Huckleberry Rock Lookout and High Falls in turn, returning to Toronto at around 7:45 PM. There are plenty of photo opportunities along the way, making it a great fit for travelers who love landscape photography.

Walk the Hardy Lake trail and boardwalk

Arrive at Hardy Lake Provincial Park at around 10:10 AM and hike a mostly flat trail of about 7 km around the lake. The highlight is the famous boardwalk, where you can take the most "Muskoka" photos imaginable. You can also take pictures at a scenic spot overlooking the island in the middle of the lake.

There is a lunch break during the hike; lunch is not included. In winter, snowshoes are recommended for this hike. They are not mandatory, and you can bring your own or rent a pair for $15.

Look out over Lake Muskoka from Huckleberry Rock Lookout

Arrive at Huckleberry Rock Lookout at around 1:45 PM and hike about 2 km in total. Walk over ancient bedrock up to the lookout and enjoy sweeping views over Lake Muskoka.

Discover High Falls, the "Niagara of the North"

Arrive at High Falls, known as the "Niagara of the North," at around 3:45 PM and feel the power of the falls up close. From here, you can also hike to Potts Falls, a smaller waterfall.

At around 6 PM, the group has dinner together at a nearby restaurant. Dinner is not included, and the group chooses the restaurant together based on dietary restrictions.
