Walk through Genoa's Old Town
Board a tour bus at the visitor center in central Milan and travel for about 2 hours to reach Genoa, the capital of Liguria and a major port city. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic district, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, with your tour leader, visiting San Lorenzo Cathedral, the Palazzo Ducale, the Royal Palace, and more. During the free time that follows, you can stroll through the alleys or enjoy a cup of coffee at your leisure.
Take a Boat from Rapallo to Portofino
In the afternoon, travel by bus for about an hour to the seaside town of Rapallo. After some brief free time, board a boat and head along the coast to Portofino. The boat cruise takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Enjoy Free Time at Portofino Harbor
Stroll freely for about 2 hours along the waterfront of Portofino, a simple fishing village turned town famous for its pastel-colored houses and picturesque harbor. Its former name, Portus Delphini, is said to come from the large number of dolphins in the Gulf of Tigullio. Afterwards, return on a 30-minute sightseeing cruise, rest briefly, and then head back to Milan by bus.
