From Vancouver: Sea to Sky Gondola & Whistler Day Tour - Hotel Pickup

Head to Whistler along
the Sea-to-Sky Highway

After pickup at your designated hotel, board an air-conditioned deluxe coach and leave downtown Vancouver. Along the way, your driver-guide shares stories about the history, geology and culture of the region in English.

Once you leave the city, the Sea-to-Sky Highway unfolds with coastal rainforest, ocean views and snow-capped peaks. You may even spot wildlife such as eagles, bears or deer near the road.

Feel the mist at Shannon Falls

Your first stop is Shannon Falls just outside Squamish. The third-highest waterfall in British Columbia plunges 335 m over granite cliffs. A short paved trail from the parking lot leads to two viewpoints where you can see the falls up close and take photos.

Ride the Sea to Sky Gondola to the summit

Next, ride the Sea to Sky Gondola for about 10 minutes up to the 885 m summit, with panoramic views of Howe Sound, Shannon Falls and the Coast Mountains.

You have about 1 hour 30 minutes at the top. Cross the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, take a short hike on the well-kept trails, or relax with a snack or coffee at the summit lodge.

Enjoy free time in Whistler Village

After coming down the mountain, continue north to Whistler Village, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics. During up to 3 hours of free time, stroll the pedestrian village, dine at a restaurant or browse the boutiques.

At the end of the day, return to Vancouver by coach. Depending on the season, you may see the sunset over Howe Sound on the way back.
