Look out over the Indian Arm fjord
from Deep Cove
After pickup in Metro Vancouver, head to Deep Cove, a seaside village at the eastern edge of the North Shore. Nestled between forested mountains, the cove opens onto the glacial fjord of Indian Arm. Stroll along the marina and watch kayakers and paddleboarders glide across the calm water.
Cross the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge into the rainforest

Enter the temperate rainforest of Lynn Canyon and cross the swaying suspension bridge 50 m above the ground. Listen to the rapids of Lynn Creek rushing through the narrow rocky canyon below, and once across, find yourself surrounded by towering Douglas firs and old cedars. The itinerary also includes a visit to Park & Tilford Gardens.
Visit Cleveland Dam and the Capilano River Hatchery

Stand atop Cleveland Dam at the top of Capilano River Regional Park and watch water pour down the concrete spillway of about 90 m. Just downstream, descend into the river valley to visit the Capilano River Hatchery, where depending on the season you can see coho salmon, chinook salmon or rainbow trout leaping up the tiered fish ladders.
Finish at Cypress Lookout and the Trestle Bridge

Drive up Cypress Bowl Road and stop at the Cypress Lookout, where downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park and cargo ships sailing Burrard Inlet spread out between sea and sky. Finally, walk the 200 m wooden Trestle Bridge on the Mountain Path in West Vancouver, strolling through the forest high above Cave Creek.
※ The species of salmon and trout vary by season, and sightings are not guaranteed.
