Leave Calgary and head
to the Drumheller Badlands

After pickup at a designated hotel in Calgary, travel to Drumheller. The pickup locations are Hyatt Regency Calgary and Holiday Inn & Suites Calgary Airport North. On the way, your live guide and audio commentary introduce the remarkable nature and history of Alberta.

Admire the Badlands landscape at
Horseshoe Canyon and the Hoodoos Trail

Spend about 40 minutes at Horseshoe Canyon, known for its unique rock formations and rich geological history. Then spend about 1 hour on the Hoodoos Trail, where you can see up close the rock pillars carved by wind and water over millions of years.

Cross the Star Mine Suspension Bridge
and enjoy the Red Deer River views

Stop for about 30 minutes at the historic Star Mine Suspension Bridge in Rosedale. Walk across the bridge over the Red Deer River and take in the picturesque scenery.

Explore the dinosaur fossil collection
at the Royal Tyrrell Museum

The main stop of the tour is the Royal Tyrrell Museum, where you spend about 2.5 hours exploring its dinosaur fossil collection and interactive exhibits. Museum admission is included, and you can have lunch at the museum at your own expense.

Afterwards, stop for about 10 minutes each at the Little Church in Drumheller and the “World’s Largest Dinosaur” before returning to Calgary, where you are dropped off at one of the pickup hotels.
