Start at "The Tour Shop" in front of San Zaccaria Church, walk to St. Mark's Basilica, and visit the Basilica and the Doge's Palace with priority entry. Depending on your option, choose a guided tour, a host introduction plus audio guide, a private Basilica tour, or a Doge's Palace ticket with an app audio guide. The duration is 1 to 2.5 hours depending on the option.
Hear the history of the Venetian Republic from a licensed guide
On the guided tour option, a licensed guide leads you through the Basilica and the Doge's Palace, sharing stories and anecdotes that are easy to miss on your own and explaining how Venice became a great Mediterranean power. With the terrace option, a host accompanies you to the Basilica terrace entrance after the tour, where you can look down over St. Mark's Square and the city's rooftops.
Explore at your own pace with an audio guide
On the audio guide option, a staff member accompanies you to the Basilica entrance and gives a short introduction in English, then you explore the Basilica and the Doge's Palace freely with a multilingual audio guide. The private tour option lets you explore the Basilica in depth at your own pace with a dedicated guide (Doge's Palace not included). The Doge's Palace ticket option lets you visit the palace on your own with an audio guide downloaded to your phone.
Bridge of Sighs, old prisons and St. Mark's Square museums
At the Doge's Palace, you can continue across the Bridge of Sighs to the old prisons. The Doge's Palace ticket also gives access to the Museo Correr, the National Archaeological Museum and the monumental rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana on St. Mark's Square. The St. Mark's Basilica ticket also includes entry to the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta on Torcello, the Sacristy of the Salute Basilica and the Pinacoteca Manfrediniana in Dorsoduro.
