Head to the Dolomites

Depart from Piazzale Roma in Venice in a comfortable Mercedes V-Class minivan. Follow the Great Dolomites Road through green valleys and mountain passes, and at your first stop, Pieve di Cadore, spend about 30 minutes walking, taking photos and having an Italian breakfast. At Lake Braies, famous for its turquoise water framed by majestic rock walls, spend about 45 minutes walking and taking photos. A dedicated pass allows the vehicle to drive right up near the lake, so you avoid queues and long walks and make the most of your time.

Explore Lake Misurina and Cortina d'Ampezzo

Stay about 2 hours at Lake Misurina, gazing at the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo and having lunch at an alpine hut or local restaurant (lunch not included). Finally, spend about 1 hour in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the 'Queen of the Dolomites' surrounded by the Tofane and Monte Cristallo, for a guided visit, shopping and a stroll, then return to Piazzale Roma after a drive of about 2 hours 20 minutes.
