From Busan: Jinju Namgang Yudeung Lantern Festival & Hadong·Sacheon Day Tour

We really enjoyed our trip to see the lanterns. It is incredible there and such a big area to explore. Our guide was helpful. A few members of the group were continuously late which meant we didn't have as much time at festival, so he let us stay an extra 30mins to make up for it. My one thing would be to get dinner elsewhere rather than the reasturant with tour as our meals were stone cold... Otherwise a fun day and as the tour runs a few more times it will get smoother and smoother I am sure.

Charlie Daniel David Abraham is a fantastic, fabulous person! He did his best on finding an alternative cable car due to maintenance on Sacheon. I recommend this tour!

Although the Jinju lantern festival itself was fantastic and our guide Charlie did a superb job we were concerned by the organization itself. The tour we booked was partially changed the evening right before at 18 o’clock to something we didn’t really want. Due to the late message we could not get a refund anymore so we had to go through with the trip. Arriving at the first visit spot in the morning the cable car was closed. (Talk about bad organization) Luckily our guide Charlie made the best out of it and could arrange another one which turned out to be a better choice. He really made our journey more cheerful. Thank you Mr. Fantastic 😉

This trip was OK, all done as per itinerary, but I had the feeling it is rushed. There is no dinner option, which is fine, I knew that, but then they force you to choose something from menu as they send the whole group to restaurant and you do have to pay for it. And you only have like 30-40 minutes to eat. You also have like just an hour free in the festival, it should be at least 30 min more. That is the focal point of this trip! And I got the feeling that the guide was doing this for the first time as you could see he sometimes did not know what to do or did not pass the info, he was more worries about the time than us (no problem for that, we all start somewhere), but then I found it was not his first rodeo. And maybe silly and apparently very korean - they do check if you rate it 5 starts, literally beg for it and will give you a little plushie if you do. Yeah, I didn't get the plushie :-) overall I saw everything I wanted, but it did feel rushed.
