Program
Depart from Kraków
and travel to Oświęcim
Depending on your option, depart from your accommodation in Kraków or a designated meeting point. Travel about 1.5 hours to Oświęcim in a modern air-conditioned bus, accompanied by a dedicated tour leader for the whole day.
Learn the history of the camp at the Auschwitz Memorial
Enter the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum with priority entry and explore Auschwitz with a licensed museum guide for about 2 hours. Pass through the infamous "Arbeit macht frei" gate and learn about the origins and operation of the camp and the inhumane conditions prisoners endured. In the museum, period photographs and personal belongings of the victims tell the stories of those who lost their lives here.
Walk through Auschwitz II-Birkenau
After a short 10-minute break, continue to Auschwitz II-Birkenau for a guided tour of about 75 minutes. See the original barracks, gas chambers, and the platform as you reflect on the 1.3 million people, including Jews, who were killed here during World War II. After the tour, return to Kraków by bus in about 1.5 hours.
※ The duration and pace of the tour are set by the Memorial and may be shortened due to weather conditions such as storms or heat waves.
※ In rare cases when a guide cannot be assigned, the tour may be changed to a self-guided tour with a guidebook in your language or canceled with a full refund.
