Make dragon beard candy
with a pastry chef
This is a traditional Chinese pastry workshop lasting about 2 hours. Your chef, trained in both Chinese and French pastry, combines the precision of French technique with the artistry of Chinese tradition. All ingredients and baking equipment are provided.
Hear 2,000 years of history and watch a live demo

Start with a short storytelling session about the 2,000-year history of dragon beard candy, once a delicacy reserved for Chinese royalty. Then watch a live demonstration as melted sugar turns into delicate, soft strands resembling a dragon's beard.
Stretch the sugar and create your own candy

Now it's your turn. Following the chef's guidance, stretch and fold the sugar dough more than 10,000 times to create hair-thin threads. Wrap these threads around a delicious filling of ground peanuts, sesame and coconut to finish your dragon beard candy.
Take your homemade candy with you, along with a recipe so you can make it again at home.
