From Cairo: Abu Simbel & Luxor 2-Day Private Tour - Domestic Flights Included

to Aswan on a domestic flight

On day one, you are picked up from your Cairo hotel at 3:00 AM and transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Aswan. When you arrive at Aswan Airport around 6:00 AM, your tour representative meets you. Drive to the Philae Temple and the Aswan High Dam.

See the Great Temple of Abu Simbel and the Temple of Nefertari

Around 10:30 AM, travel by bus to Abu Simbel. At the Great Temple of Abu Simbel, carved into a sandstone cliff by Ramses II, admire the colossal statues on its facade, then visit the nearby small temple of Queen Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Afterwards, transfer to a 4-star hotel in Aswan for the night.

Explore the Valley of the Kings and temples on the West Bank

On day two, after breakfast at the hotel, travel to Luxor with your representative. On the West Bank, explore the Valley of the Kings, home to tombs from several dynasties, and the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. On the way back, stop briefly at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant seated statues of Amenhotep III.

Walk through Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple

Cross to the East Bank and walk through the courtyard of Luxor Temple, admiring the granite statues of Ramses II. Then travel by carriage or bus to Karnak Temple to see the Avenue of Sphinxes, the Hypostyle Hall with 134 massive columns, the obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, the Temple of Amun and the Sacred Lake.

At the end of the tour, take a domestic flight from Luxor Airport back to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo, meet a staff member who will transfer you to your hotel.
