Leave Hurghada
and explore Luxor's East and West Banks over 2 days
On day 1, you are picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and travel to Luxor. In Luxor, meet your Egyptologist guide and visit the sites one by one in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Explore Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple
Explore the Karnak Temple complex, built by many pharaohs over more than 2,000 years. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, means "the most sacred of places", and the Hypostyle Hall with its forest of giant columns is especially impressive. Then head to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals in honor of the god Amun. Lunch is served at a restaurant in Luxor.
Stay at a hotel in Luxor and enjoy free time
Check in to the 4-star Jolie Ville Kings Island Luxor and enjoy some free time. If you like, you can watch the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple or explore Luxor city and its markets. The Sound and Light Show and dinner are not included.
Visit the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut
On day 2, cross to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Colossi of Memnon, the giant statues of Amenhotep III. Then explore three tombs in the Valley of the Kings, carved deep into the desert rock and richly decorated.
Next, head to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and admire the terraced temple that blends into the limestone cliffs. After lunch and some free time, you can optionally take a felucca to Banana Island before returning to your hotel in Hurghada.
