Meet your guide at Napoli Centrale station and take the metro to the stadium. Throughout the tour you will hear fascinating stories, such as the moment Maradona arrived in Naples to the welcome of more than 70,000 fans, the historic 1990 World Cup semi-final, and the city-wide celebrations after the third Scudetto.

Explore the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium

Formerly known as Stadio San Paolo, this is the heart of Napoli football. For about 30 minutes you will look around the outside of the stadium and hear Napoli's history, from the first league title in 1987 and the second in 1990 with Maradona to the third Scudetto in 2023 and the fourth title.

Next, you will have about 20 minutes to take photos outside the stadium, and you can take a break with a coffee nearby if you wish (optional, extra cost). There is also a chance to visit the Maradona Museum, but the entrance fee is not included.

Meet the Maradona mural in the Spanish Quarters

Take the metro back to the city and walk with your guide through the Spanish Quarters (Quartieri Spagnoli), where the authentic alleys of Naples come alive. The tour ends in front of the famous Maradona mural painted in 1990. A shrine visited by countless fans and travelers every year, it is the place to learn why football in Naples stands for identity, social redemption and collective love.
