Highlights
This trekking tour starts from Sapa town and follows the rice terraces of the Muong Hoa Valley and the Y Linh Ho area to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. In Lao Chai, home of the Black Hmong people, you will see local life up close and enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family. Then continue to Ta Van village, home to the Giay people, and learn about Hmong and Giay culture and traditions. Discover Sapa's rice terraces and ethnic villages
Meet your local guide at Sapa Stone Church and start the trek. Walk along the rice terraces of the Muong Hoa Valley and Y Linh Ho, visiting Lao Chai, home of the Black Hmong people, and Ta Van, home of the Giay people.
Have lunch with a local family in Lao Chai, and return to Sapa town by vehicle after the tour. The guide speaks English and Vietnamese.
Walk along the rice terraces of Muong Hoa Valley
Follow the peaceful Muong Hoa–Y Linh Ho valley while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains and rice terraces, with breaks for photos along the way (about 45 minutes).
See Black Hmong life in Lao Chai
In Lao Chai, home of the Black Hmong people, see local life up close and learn about Hmong culture and traditions from your guide. Enjoy a home-cooked lunch prepared with a local family (about 2 hours).
Learn about Giay traditions in Ta Van
Continue hiking to Ta Van, home of the Giay people, to explore the village and learn about their traditions (about 45 minutes). After the tour, relax on the vehicle back to Sapa.
