Highlights
This fun dive takes you to Shark Tank, a dive site in the Maldives where you can meet sharks. Seven shark species visit the site, including tiger sharks, hammerheads, bull sharks, lemon sharks and spinner sharks, and the rare guitarfish often appears too. All equipment is included, from mask, BCD, regulator, fins and wetsuit to a dive computer, and a qualified dive guide leads small groups of up to 10 people. As the site has strong currents, it is suited to divers with Advanced Open Water certification or higher.
Program
Enter Shark Tank
and dive with sharks
After checking in at Dive Club Maldives dive center, travel to the dive site with the included transportation. For about 1 hour, descend into the deep and see sharks and a variety of marine life up close in their natural habitat. After the dive, you return to the dive center.
Get a briefing and gear up
Before entering the water, there is a safety briefing and dive planning session. A mask, BCD, regulator, fins, wetsuit and dive computer are provided, and surface support is available during the dive for safety.
Meet sharks and guitarfish
Shark Tank is frequently visited by tiger sharks, hammerheads, bull sharks, lemon sharks and spinner sharks. The rare guitarfish also often appears. Visibility may vary depending on the current.
