This beginner scuba diving experience on Ukulhas island in the Maldives is open to those with no prior diving experience. After a safety briefing on land and practicing underwater breathing in a shallow lagoon, you explore a coral reef up to 12 m deep with your instructor. It runs as a private group with a strict instructor-to-guest ratio of 1:2, and all equipment, including mask, fins, BCD, regulator and wetsuit, is included.

Meet your certified instructor at the dive center on Ukulhas island and put on your diving equipment. This is a private group experience with a 1:2 instructor-to-guest ratio and takes about 2 hours. The instructor speaks English.

First, attend a safety briefing on land to learn how to use the equipment and the basic rules of scuba diving. Then move to a shallow, calm lagoon where, in waist-deep water, your instructor helps you take your first breaths underwater, and you practice a few simple skills until you feel confident.

Once you are comfortable, head to deeper water to explore the local coral reef. Descend side by side with your instructor, holding hands, to a depth of up to 12 m, and look out for colorful damselfish, sea turtles and harmless reef sharks.

If you wish, you can request high-quality underwater photos and videos of your experience. Photos and videos are not included and must be purchased separately.
※ Marine life lives in the wild, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
