After pickup from your hotel or villa on the island, head to Samui Elephant Home, an ethical elephant sanctuary. Over about 4 hours with an English-speaking guide, you share a day in the life of the elephants, from preparing food and feeding to a jungle walk and watching them play in the water. Afterwards, enjoy a vegetarian meal before returning to your hotel.

Learn about elephant welfare and safety first

The experience begins with a warm welcome and a refreshing drink. Learn about the sanctuary's commitment to ethical elephant welfare and the importance of elephants in Thailand, along with the safety guidelines for respectful interaction.

Prepare supplementary food and feed the elephants

Work with the mahouts to prepare nutritious supplementary food from natural ingredients, and make seed bombs from mud and native seeds. Then feed the elephants yourself under the guidance of the team.

Walk through the jungle and watch them bathe

Walk with the elephants through the jungle and watch them forage, explore and enjoy mud baths. Launch seed bombs into the forest with a traditional slingshot to support reforestation.

Back from the jungle, help the mahouts gently splash water on the elephants as they cool off in a large pool. Finish with vegetarian refreshments and a short video summarizing your day.
