PADI Open Water Diver is the entry-level certification for anyone starting scuba diving. This is the eLearning version, so you complete the theory online at home before you arrive and spend your 3 days on Koh Samui focusing on pool training and ocean dives. Equipment, insurance, a Thai lunch buffet with drinks, and round-trip transfers from accommodation between Maenam and Lamai are included, with a maximum of 4 participants.

Finish the theory in advance with eLearning

The knowledge development section covers the basic skills, terminology and safety procedures of scuba diving. You complete it on your own online through the PADI eLearning system, so be sure to finish it before arriving on Koh Samui.

Practice the basics in the pool

Confined water dives are a series of training modules held in a pool. You get familiar with the diving equipment and practice the essential skills and techniques for diving safely.

Dive in the open sea
at Koh Tao and Sail Rock

On ocean dive days, you travel about 45 minutes by van from your accommodation, then about 1 hour by speedboat to the dive sites. You complete a total of 4 ocean dives at Koh Tao and Sail Rock, performing various skills underwater and at the surface, with a lunch break in between.

Once you complete your open water training and your instructor approves your skills, you become a certified PADI Open Water Diver, able to dive to a maximum depth of 18 m anywhere in the world.
