Yogyakarta Jomblang Cave & Timang Beach Car Tour - English-Speaking Driver

Explore Jomblang Cave and
Timang Beach in one day

This approximately 12-hour tour picks you up in Yogyakarta around 7:00 AM, drives about 2 hours to explore Jomblang Cave, and visits Timang Beach in the afternoon. An English-speaking driver handles transport and helps arrange Jomblang Cave tickets and the Timang Beach jeep. The Jomblang Cave entrance fee (500,000 per person) and the Timang Beach jeep (400,000 per vehicle) are paid separately.

Gear up and descend into the cave

On arrival at Jomblang Cave, register and receive a queue number. The tour starts at 9:30 AM. Put on the safety gear provided by the team, including a body harness, boots, and a helmet, then descend about 60 m through the cave entrance by pulley system when your number is called.

See light pouring into the cave

At the bottom, a guide leads you through the cave, about 300 m long. The cave floor is very muddy and slippery, so walk carefully. At the end, enjoy the sight of sunlight streaming into the cave.

After about 2 hours in the cave, climb back up to the entrance, wash up, and enjoy lunch prepared by the organizing team.

Watch the Indian Ocean waves at Timang Beach

After about 1 hour by car, arrive at Timang Beach and watch the Indian Ocean waves crash high against the coral cliffs. If you wish, cross to the small island to the south by gondola or suspension bridge. After enough time, return to the jeep base and ride back to your hotel with your driver.
