The Baptistery of San Giovanni, Italy's largest baptistery

Start your visit at the baptistery, famous for its harmonious marble architecture and outstanding acoustics. Feel the sound fill the dome during the acoustic demonstration held every 30 minutes. Don't miss the intricate floor mosaics and the pulpit carved by sculptor Nicola Pisano.

The Camposanto, a peaceful cemetery surrounded by frescoes

Shaped like a cloister, the Camposanto is a monumental cemetery decorated with frescoes such as Buffalmacco's Triumph of Death and Last Judgment. Stroll slowly along the marble corridors lined with Roman sarcophagi and tombs of Pisa's notable citizens, and admire the restored masterpieces.

Opera del Duomo Museum & Sinopie Museum

At the Opera del Duomo Museum, see sculptures and sacred paintings including works by Giovanni Pisano and Spinello Aretino, as well as liturgical objects, textiles and ancient manuscripts. At the Sinopie Museum, view the original sinopie, the preparatory drawings left on the walls before the frescoes were painted, and get a glimpse of how the medieval masters worked.
