Explore the Shaanxi History Museum
and treasures from 13 dynasties

This ticket gives you entry to the Shaanxi History Museum, China's first modern national museum and a designated Major Cultural Heritage Site under state protection. Its collection of over 1.7 million artifacts comes from the Guanzhong Plain, where 13 dynasties including the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang set up their capitals, and three permanent galleries trace more than a million years of history. Explore at your own pace without a guide.

Discover early civilization in the Prehistoric Gallery

See delicate Neolithic Yangshao pottery and mysterious jade artifacts that reveal the early farming societies along the Yellow River.

From the Bronze Age to the Han dynasty

Stand face to face with life-size Terracotta Warrior replicas, admire Western Zhou bronze ritual vessels with intricate inscriptions and see Han dynasty jade burial suits reflecting ancient beliefs in immortality.

Admire gold and silver in the Tang Glory Gallery

See dazzling gold and silverware from the Hejiacun hoard, polychrome pottery figures reflecting Silk Road cultural exchange and monumental steles recording diplomatic triumphs.
