A private trip from Xi'an
to the Yucha Grand Canyon

This private day trip of about 12 hours starts with hotel pickup in downtown Xi'an at 7:00 or 7:30, followed by a 3.5–4-hour drive to the Yucha Grand Canyon in Ganquan. Entry tickets, a private vehicle with driver, bottled water and the canyon sightseeing bus are included. Depending on your option, choose tickets and transport only, or the all-inclusive tour with an English-speaking guide and lunch.

Choose one of
two canyon routes

On arrival, pick one of two scenic routes. Route 1 runs from the visitor centre to Longba Canyon and Mudan Canyon, while Route 2 leads to Yueya Canyon and Huaxiu Canyon. Each route takes about 3–4 hours.

Admire the light and colours
of the red sandstone

Walk among red sandstone formations carved by wind and water over millions of years and take plenty of photos. On sunny days between 11:00 and 14:00, sunlight streams through the cracks and creates gradient colours. March to May and September to November offer good weather for photography.

Relax on the way
back to Xi'an

After exploring the canyon, relax on the drive back and arrive at your hotel in Xi'an at around 20:30. Lunch is only included in the all-inclusive option and is optional for other options.
