Western Zhou rituals
and the Qin Terracotta Army

In the scene "Rhythm of Zhou and Spirit of Qin," bronze ritual vessels rise while dancers in black recreate the ceremonies of the Western Zhou. Then ranks of Terracotta Warriors appear through virtual effects, and battle cries and pyrotechnics convey the might of the Qin, which unified the six states.

Zhang Qian's journey
and the prosperous Tang court

"Zhang Qian's Mission" follows his journey across endless deserts and the Gobi, returning after 13 years with seeds and documents from the Western Regions. "Prosperity of Tang" shows Yang Guifei dancing among petals, whirling Huxuan dancers and a golden palace, expressing the glory of Chang'an as the center of the world.

From the Silk Road to modern Xi'an

"Garments of the East" connects Silk Road caravans with today's Xi'an markets through costume changes. In the final chorus, the ancient city wall, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower appear on screen alongside the performers.
