This private tour picks you up at your hotel in central Kunming and drives you about 1.5 hours by private vehicle to the Stone Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Only your group joins, and you can choose in the options whether a guide comes along and whether to add a Kunming city tour or Jiuxiang Cave. Stone Forest-only options take up to 6 hours, options with a Kunming city tour take up to 10 hours, and you are dropped back at your hotel at the end.

Walk among giant limestone pillars

The Stone Forest is a landscape of limestone pillars shaped over millions of years by erosion and weathering, some rising over 40 meters. Spend about 3 hours exploring the maze-like Major and Minor Stone Forests, where rocks resemble animals and people.

Have lunch at a roast duck restaurant in Yiliang

After the Stone Forest, head to Yiliang and stop at a famous local roast duck restaurant. Yiliang roast duck is a regional specialty, and you have about an hour to rest and eat. The meal is paid separately, and vegetarian or halal options are available on request.

Explore Kunming your way on a city tour

On city tour options, return to Kunming after lunch and spend about 3 hours at places of your choice: a walk through Kunming Old Town or Guandu Ancient Town, Yunnan Nationalities Village, the Western Hills and Dragon Gate by cable car, Yunnan Provincial Museum or Dounan Flower Market. You can also taste Chinese tea at a teahouse or try making a tile cat. On Jiuxiang Cave options, spend about 3 hours at the Jiuxiang Scenic Area in Yiliang.
